Walker Contemporary Closes, Takes Show On Road

CLOSED: Walker Contemporary, 450 Harrison Avenue, SoWa

Stephanie Walker has decided to close her SoWa gallery, Walker Contemporary. The gallery closed at the end of April, and Stephanie is heading back to L.A. in the fall.  She’ll stay submerged in the art world, of course, and already has plenty of projects lined up,  including the release of a limited edition fine art print, curating exhibitions in new and unusual locations, and continuing to work with clients.

First up:

“30 Under 30”
Gallery263, 263 Pearl Street, Cambridgeport
Juried by Walker Contemporary’s  Stephanie Walker
Friday, May 20, 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.

I still adore the paintings by Elisa Johns, whom Walker represents, that I blogged about two years ago:

Daphne and the Laurel Tree
72 x 48 inches • oil on canvas
